432: BLIND LEADING THE BLIND

The past few days in Salt Lake City we have been experiencing heavy fog in the valley. Fog reduces our visibility, distorts our perception and causes many fatal car accidents each year.

Once a car first encounters fog, the driver immediately slows down.

Unfortunately, the longer you stay driving in the fog, you get more confident and you begin to accelerate.

If you think you are safe by following a driver in front of you... but who also can't see in the fog, unless you stop, or slow down, most likely you both will crash.
